Introduction to Weaving Willow Frames
With Richard Green

On this practical half day course Richard Green will show you how to make up willow frames of differing sizes and shapes to match the habits of a variety of shrubs and climbers as he has done so successfully at Coton. During a brief tour of the garden he will also look at other applications such as willow fences and arbours. You will have the opportunity to make your own wigwam or rose frame (under his instruction!) to take home. All materials will be supplied but please bring secateurs.

Richard Green has been Head Gardener at Coton Manor for the past seventeen years and, apart from his extensive responsibilities for maintaining the garden to a high standard, constructs all the plant supports required for the many roses and climbers in the garden.
