Meadow Border

The Meadow Border includes plants that can be found in their wild form in the Wildflower Meadow beyond, such as achilleas, cranesbills, grasses, daisies, echinops, lythrum and agastache. The colours are mainly oranges and blues with splashes of pinks and yellows.

As this is an island bed, shapes are important - hence the contrast between flat heads of achilleas, heleniums & echinaceas, the spherical heads of echinops, the vertical effect of lythrum, kniphofias and aconitum and the rounded shape of groups of nepetas, potentillas, asters & eupatorium.
